What your faith community can do.

Many resources are needed to create affordable homeownership, including land, financial donations, volunteers and your prayers. Your support can help a family reach the American dream of homeownership.

The Biblical Abraham is a perpetual textbook for his descendants. The children of the three most populated religions in the world–Judaism, Christianity and Islam–call him the father of their faith and consider themselves his spiritual descendants.  His most significant lesson was for each of us to step out on faith, leave our comfort zone and follow God’s call.

It is this first lesson that Habitat for Humanity is calling upon members of Lee and Hendry Counties Jewish, Christian and Muslim communities to join together to build a home. This home will be built for a family who will be blessed with a dwelling constructed by the hands and hearts of Muslims, Jews, Christians and any other faith community who wish to join us.

The goal is to raise $50,000 to underwrite the building materials for the home.  Donations can be mailed to Habitat for Humanity at 1288 North Tamiami Trail, North Fort Myers, FL, 33903.
