Habitat 101

you are invited...
Did you know that more than 10,000 households live below poverty level in Lee County? And that every 21 minutes somewhere in this world a Habitat home is built? How about that $.94 of every dollar donated to Habitat goes directly toward construction?

Habitat 101 is a free, one-hour informative session about what we are currently doing in Lee County. Since 1979, we have provided homes for more than 1000 families in Lee and Hendry counties. Discover how Habitat families are selected and how donations are utilized. Hear from a Habitat Homeowner Candidate (HOC) working through the program and learn what Habitat means to that family. You’ll enjoy a tour of our extensive campus in North Fort Myers, where you will see the “behind the scenes” action of how Habitat homes are built. You’ll also visit our 27,000 square foot thrift store and senior housing complex, a first-of-its-kind project for any Habitat affiliate to undertake. The attached villas provide 60 low-income senior families with a safe, decent, affordable place to call home.

Longtime supporters and future supporters of Habitat will enjoy and benefit from this free one-hour session! All are welcome to attend. Habitat 101 is held at 1288 N. Tamiami Trail, North Ft. Myers. Our office is located on Business 41 in North Fort Myers 1 block north of Pondella. If you are heading north, you will want to travel over the EDISON BRIDGE. Please RSVP to 239.652.0434, ext. 1678 to reserve your seat or click the link below.
