Vern Archibald

He quickly realized that he was called to serve the community, and in 1990 was asked to join the Habitat for Humanity staff as CEO and President of Lee County’s affiliate. His visionary leadership sparked many innovative projects in the area, such as the Senior Housing Complex. Mary Moore
Vice President of Development Mary Moore came to Habitat in 2007. Mary and her daughter Sara moved to the Fort Myers area in 2001. Shortly thereafter, she began working at Shell Point Retirement Community, where she met her husband, Scott. Mary worked in fundraising as well as the sales and marketing offices at Shell Point. “What attracted me to Habitat is the difference in its mission as compared to other nonprofits. I feel better about helping people help themselves instead of just giving away homes; it speaks to my conservative Christian values. Plus when you give to Habitat, you see immediate results,” states Mary.
