Habitat for Humanity of Lee County opened the doors to its 27,000 square foot location in 1999. Initially the store was setup up assist Habitat homeowners with affordable furnishings. Today, Habitat's ReStore is open to the general public! Many organizations that operate thrift stores are “for-profit”. They purchase the name of a charity, and in turn donate a small percentage of the earnings to that charity. Habitat for Humanity of Lee County, Inc., is a non-profit, 501 (c)(3) corporation, with all proceeds supporting the organizations mission. Every dollar generated from ReStore sales goes right back into building homes! Each month, Habitat's ReStore brings in enough revenue to fund an entire house!
