Habitat for Humanity construction crews are making progress in Harlem Heights
Dirt is moving on the 20-acre property for the new Chico’s Heritage Heights neighborhood in Fort Myers. Habitat for Humanity of Lee and Hendry Counties will officially break ground in spring 2020 and the neighborhood will provide 140 affordable homes for local families.
Chico’s FAS, Inc. has partnered with Habitat for Humanity since 2001, helping raise $2 million in Southwest Florida and logging 8,000 volunteers hours to help build homes. As of October 2019 construction crews have been clearing the property and excavating the future site of the neighborhood lake.
