Homeowner Partnership with Habitat for Humanity

Partnering with Habitat for Humanity is a lifetime partnership. Through all the time spent with your Habitat Home Advisors and other Habitat team members you have become a part of the Habitat Family. As a home owner partner, we ask you to proactively be a Habitat Homeowner Partner by thriving in these three simple areas:

  1. Maintaining your home – is one of the most important parts of being a homeowner.  When our homeowners actively maintain their home by doing home inspections they have less unexpected expenses. Keeping your home looking neat and tidy shows to the community that you care.
  2. Paying your bills on time – is vital to your long-term homeownership success. It is also a way to show your Habitat Family you are taking action on all the financial counseling classes you attended. Remember you can always ask your Homeowner Advisor for help if you find yourself financially falling behind.
  3. Supporting future Habitat Families – is to encourage and empower those who are beginning their homeownership journey. Please consider attending wall-raisings or home dedications of other Habitat families- especially those in your neighborhood. Also, sharing your story of success will inspire others.
